Share authentic & Original content

Creators, publishers and third-party providers posting content flagged as misinformation and false news may be ineligible or may lose their eligibility to monetize. You can read more about this here. Creators and publishers posting content reported to Facebook as unlawful by an authorized entity may be ineligible or lose their eligibility to monetize.

Content creators, publishers and third-party providers can only monetize content that they created or were involved in the creation of, or that directly features the creator, publisher or third-party provider. Content that is unoriginal or reproduced without making meaningful enhancements (commentary, parody, creative editing, etc.) cannot be monetized. Affiliate entity content distributed by third-party providers, such as multi-channel networks or social media agencies, may be considered original content.

How To Appeal For Monetization Policy Issue?

Partner Monetization Policy appeals on desktop (Pages/profiles/Groups)

  • Click Policy issues and select the Page/profile/Group you want to appeal
  • Click Request another review of the decision you would like to appeal

Note: Creator Studio is not currently accessible by Professional mode for profiles


Partner and Content Monetization appeals on mobile

On mobile, you will receive a notification in Facebook and in the monetization product you are using (example: Reels) if there is a violation that impacts your monetization status.

  • Upon clicking either of the alerts, you will automatically be redirected to the Policy issues page which will have a Restricted monetization alert with the option to Request review.
  • After you click Request review, you will be taken to an Appeals page. On this screen you can submit an appeal for the violations currently restricting your monetization.
